Customized Apparel
Burnsville Sign Works also offers customized apparel, as that is another great way to advertise your business. We have three processes available and we will help you determine which is the most cost-effect alternative:
- Direct-to-Garment Printing
- Screen-Printing
- Vinyl Heat Transfers
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) is the latest and greatest method of customizing your light-colored apparel. We use a Brother GT-541 for all of our DTG printing.
- Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing requires no screen set-up fees, as there are no screens utilized in this process. Your picture, design or logo is printed directly onto the garment from our computer.
- There are no color limitations with Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing and no per color charges. You are charged one fee for as many colors as your art provides.
- This is the best method to print pictures on apparel.
- There are no minimum orders. We can print one shirt or as many as you want with our Direct-to-Garment printer.
- Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing is Earth-Friendly because it does not require screens or screen ink. So, there is no clean up required at the end of the job to wash screen ink down the drain and potentially pollute the planet. The ink is printed directly on the shirt, jacket, or pant and then set with a heat-press at 350 degrees. That process sets the ink permanently in the garment and looks great even after washing and drying repeatedly.
Screen-Printing may be the way to go, depending upon your artwork and the color of apparel that you need to customize.
- Screen-printing has been the most relied-upon method of customizing T-shirts for decades. It is the most commonly requested process for customizing apparel.
- For large orders, screen-printing is more cost-effective than DTG or Heat-Press as the price per item drops significantly.
- Screen-printing is the preferred method for dark fabrics. Currently, the technology of DTG does not work on dark fabrics.
Vinyl Heat Transfers are another alternative that we offer!
- Vinyl Heat Transfers are perfect for small jobs of 1 – 10 items to add text to a T-shirt.
- This process can be completed while you wait for that last minute gift, to add numbers to a jersey, or to create a professional, yet cost-effective polo for your business.
- And for odd-shaped items like baseball caps, hats, ties, bandanas, and totes, Vinyl Heat Transfer is the way to go.
- Vinyl Heat Transfers are super, long-lasting even after repeated washing and drying as they are set with a professional heat press at 350 degrees.
